High-spatial-resolution integrated spectra have been used to search for radial chemical abundance gradients within the globular clusters NGC 1851 and NGC 6624. No evidence for such gradients was found. Between the cluster center and a radius equal to 8 core radii, the mean metallicity of NGC 6624 does not change by more than 0.2 dex. In NGC 1851 an upper limit of 0.3 dex can be given for the change in metallicity between 2 and 9 core radii.
