Stationary spherically symmetric accretion onto a Schwarzschild black
hole is treated for the case of a fully ionized hydrogen gas with an
exact relativistic equation of state. The critical accretion rate and
the flow parameters are determined and compared with results obtained
with simple polytropic equations of state for the matter.
