We present a survey of the latest results for the astrophysical S_17-factor for the reaction ^7Be(p,γ)^8B. They definitely favor the value of S_17(0) ≈ 17 eVb, which is lower than S_17(0)=22.5 eVb used in the latest calculations of the high energy solar neutrino flux. We evaluated the impact of the lower value of S_17(0) on the high energy solar neutrino flux and found that there is no disagreement of the theoretical calculations with the experimental data of Kamiokande III. The disagreement between the theory and experimental data from Chlorine 37 detector still exist, but less severe than it was.
