The Las Campanas Redshift Survey has sampled 26400 galaxies, with an average redshift z = 0.1, in six 1.5 deg × 80 deg slices in the North and South galactic caps. The combination of the survey's large sample size, volume, and depth argues that the Las Campanas Survey may currently represent the best chance for a fair sample of the nearby universe. Details of the survey construction and the survey data will be presented, and some recent results will be discussed, specifically the power spectrum, luminosity function, and redshift-space distortion statistics of Las Campanas galaxies.
