The results of first investigations of the new long-period pulsar PSR 0320 + 39, recently made at 102.5 MHz and devoted to the subpulse structure of this pulsar, are presented. The observations are described, and a phase diagram of the subpulse drift is shown along with pulse profiles of the pulsar and fluctuation power spectra. The subpulses drift regularly with a period of 8.5 P and with an interval between subpulses of 31.7 msec. The subpulses drift opposite to the direction usual in pulsars, from the leading edge of the radio emission window to its trailing front. This drift strongly supports the geometrical interpretation of the direction of drift of subpulses, that the observer's line of sight crosses the emission cone of other pulsars at a part of the cone remote from the equator, while for PSR 0320 + 39 the line crosses a part of the cone close to the equator.
