Monochromatic photographs of the Orion nebula in forbidden O I, O II, and O III lines were obtained at the 80-cm (f/6) and 120-cm (f/1.6) telescopes of the Haute Provence Observatory, combined with narrow-bandpass interference filters. isothermal contours, as well as ratio contours of forbidden O III/O II and O I/O II are derived. Discussions are made about the observed temperature and line ratios.
