30Doradus is the nearest giant HII region and consequently the optimal site where one can study the detailed physical condition of the hot (10(5-10^6) K) gas in a starburst region. The existence of 10(6) K gas in 30 Dor is indicated by the bright diffuse X-ray emission, which correlates well with the large Hα shell structures at the core of 30 Dor. Using proprietary IUE high-dispersion spectra as well as archival IUE and HST GHRS spectra, we analyze the dynamics and physical state of the 10(5) K gas phase in the central 15' of 30Dor. Strong absorption from CIV is present along every observed line of sight, and NV absorption is detected whenever the spectra have an adequate S/N ratio. Clearly, the core of 30Dor contains a widespread 10(5) K gas phase as well. We measure the velocity pattern, column density, and line ratios of CIV, SiIV, NV, and lower ionization species from the high-dispersion UV spectra. These properties are further correlated with properties of the 10(6) K gas derived from X-ray observations and the dynamics of the warm ionized gas derived from optical echelle observations. The goal of this investigation is to determine the spatial and physical relations between the 10(5) K gas and the other gas phase components in the core of 30 Dor.
