A fresh attempt is made to determine the relationship between the width
of the Ca(+)K2 emission component and the effective temperature, surface
gravity, and metal abundance. Data from 55 stars and a least-squares
analysis were used in the investigation. The Wilson-Bappu effect as a
consequence of Doppler broadening and of column density is discussed.
