Transition probabilities for all the forbidden lines within the ground configuration 3p(2) of the first 15 members of the silicon sequence, from Si I to Ni XV, are reported on. The theoretical formalism and numerical procedures employed are briefly outlined, including the wave function expansion, special 4-prime orbital, semi-empirical term energy corrections, and radiation theory. The parameters used to generate the atomic structure and the results of the structure calculation as compared with experiment are shown, and the transition probabilities are presented. Configuration interaction effects are found to be important even for the higher members of the sequence, but, as expected, the relativistic corrections to the magnetic dipole operator are negligible.
