Near infrared photometry is presented for galaxies with at least one of these properties: (1) Balmer emission lines broader than 1000 km/s; (2) optical spectra exhibiting high ionization emission lines regardless of width; (3) strong X-ray emission. The near infrared colors, the 0.36-3.5 micron continuum, the ratio of infrared, optical, and X-ray energies, and the relation between continuum shape and Balmer decrement are discussed. Different mixtures of a typical QSO with a normal galaxy are consistent with the observed colors, and the ratios of energies are different in Seyfert 1's and 2's. Extinction by dust may significantly modify the energy distributions in Seyferts.
