The Extreme Ultraviolet Telescope (EIT) experiment (J-P Delaboudiniere, PI) images the solar corona in Helium II (30.4 nm) and in Fe IX/X (17.1 nm)), Fe XII (19.5 nm) and Fe XV (28.4 nm) using multilayer filters in normal incidence to separate the wavelength bands. The square field of view is 48 arc minutes on a side, with a pixel size of 2.8 arc seconds. The Large Angle Spectrometric Coronagraph (LASCO) experiment (G. Brueckner, PI) images the white light corona from 1.1 to 30 Rsun using three separate telescopes, each optimized to reduce the stray light in its respective field of view. In addition, LASCO can record spectral line profiles in the Fe X (637.4 nm), Fe XIV (530.3 nm), Ca XV (569.4 nm) emission lines and the Na I (589.0 nm) absorption line. The LASCO pixel size is 5.6 arc sec for the inner telescope, C1, 11.2 arc sec for C2 and 56 arc sec for C3. Already very unique observations of coronal holes, polar plumes, coronal mass ejections, and the quiescent corona have been made. Preliminary results of these topics will be presented.
