In order to verify whether a second parameter besides metallicity affects horizontal branch (HB) morphology in the Magellanic Clouds (MC), and to study the population content in the MC globulars, several clusters were observed by IUE. Optical spectra were aslo obtained for eight of the clusters. Comparison with ANS data confirms the differences in the formation and dynamics between the Galaxy and the Magellanic Clouds. A synthetic spectrum for cluster NGC 2019 was calculated, using HB morphologies which take mass loss and core rotation into account. A good fit to observation data is obtained for a model with age 13 billion years.
