The results of the 1984 - 1985 campaigns of solar position observations are reported. Observations were made at nine zenith distances. For all the measurements made in 1984 (totalling 197 complete sun crossings) the authors have obtained the following mean value for right ascension: Δα = 0s.016±0s.006, and for 1985 (totalling 262 complete sun crossings): Δα = 0s.009±0s.005. Reductions were made in the new 1984 I.A.U. constants system and the VSOP 82 Sun theory.
