Based on a survey of the literature, the author has compiled a list of 105 kinematically and spatially distinct open clusters with earliest spectral types up to B3. The clusters are well distributed over the four galactic quadrants. At distances greater than about 2.5 kpc the sample gets markedly imcomplete. The typical accuracies of a single cluster distance and radial velocity are about 20% and 4 km s-1, respectively. The main results derived from the kinematics of the clusters are: (1) The solar motion is very close to the standard solar motion. (2) The best values for Oort's constant A and the second order rotation term α in the range -3 < R-R0 < 5 kpc are 17.0±1.5 km s-1kpc-1 and -2.0±0.6 km s-1kpc-2, respectively. (3) The H II-regions and molecular clouds in the Perseus-arm have significantly lower rotational velocities than the open clusters.
