Using the hierarchical galaxy evolution scheme for the formation of early-type galaxies proposed by Baugh et al., we present here a composite AGN/starburst model to trace star formation and central engine evolution before and after mergers. The final mass ratio of the central black hole and its host spheroidal (Mbh / Mspheroid) depends strongly on the correlation of starburst time scale and tubulent accretion time scale. The final mass ratio can converge to a universal small range near 0.006, only when the accretion time scale approximately equals to starburst time scale throughout the disk of the galaxy.
