An analysis of the chemical composition of the solar atmosphere is performed using spectrograms of the daylight sky obtained on the ZTS telescope (dispersion 3 Angstrom/mm, signal-to-noise ratio S/N > 100). The chemical composition derived in the framework of a Holweger-Muller atmosphere model are in excellent agreement with the generally accepted values. Analyses based on the models of Bell et al. and Kurucz with T_eff= 5770 K and logg = 4.44 failed to give satisfactory results. Good results were obtained for somewhat higher values of T_eff and logg. The chemical compositions of the atmospheres of the giants epsilon Tau and eta Cyg were also determined. Good agreement in the relative elemental abundances is obtained for various model grids if the elemental abundances for the solar atmosphere derived using the new values of T_eff and logg are used as a standard.
