Twenty-eight measurements of the radial velocity of the G0 V star η Cas A on 14 nights between 1986 December 11 and 1987 February 19 UT (inclusive) were made with an uncertainty per observation between ±10 and ±20 m s-1. The velocity of the star never exceeded 30 m s-1 from the mean, even though the star was monitored on three occasions for three consecutive nights. The standard deviation of all 28 measurements is ±13.7 m s-1.
