Gamma-Ray Pulsars: Luminosities, Gamma-Ray Pulsars: Radiation Mechanisms

Scientific paper

Based on the polar cap model, the radiant luminosity of γ-ray pulsars is calculated. The authors point out that solid angle and visible emission region must be considered for radiant luminosity calculation. After considering these observational effects, the calculated luminosity of γ-ray pulsars is in agreement with observation. Furthermore, the character of some γ-ray pulsar candidates is predicted.
