Results obtained from stellar studies of the chemical composition in the Magellanic Clouds are discussed. Element abundances determined from the spectroscopic analyses of OB-type stars, F-G and red supergiants and variable stars are presented. Metallicity measurements as obtained from the photometric analyses of Cepheids and red clusters are also discussed. It is evident that both Clouds are metal deficient with the Small Magellanic Cloud being the more heavily depleted in metals.
