A ground based campaign was instigated to obtain simultaneous ground based measurements with the Aureld-VIP High rocket and the Swedish Viking satellite, and to test and improve a real time instrument for recording and displaying spectral information on magnetic micropulsation. Particle measurements performed in the rocket are compared with measurements in the satellite and on the ground. During the rocket flight, Pc1 micropulsations are observed at the rocket range, and similar variations are detected in the electron countrate measured in the rocket. The micropulsations are attributed to electrons changing conductivity at electrojet altitudes.
