A solar-tropospheric effect is discovered in the Southern Hemisphere of the earth which is analogous to that observed in the Northern Hemisphere. At the fourth to fifth day after the earth enters the solar corpuscular streams, an increase is found in the tropospheric instability at moderate latitudes of the Southern Hemisphere. The variance of the diurnal atmospheric pressure differences increases by 16 percent on the average.
