The authors present, in a tabular form, the extinction efficiencies for various types of submicron amorphous carbon particles. Homogeneous samples have been morphologically characterized and spectroscopically analysed in the extended wavelength range: 1000 Å - 300 μm. Previous measurements performed in narrower ranges have been repeated and validated. New data are presented from 1000 Å to 3000 Å and from 35 μm to 300 μm in addition. A comparative analysis of the data with experimental results reported in the literature allows to estimate the properties of amorphous carbon grains able to account for portions of the interstellar extinction curve previously attributed to graphite.
