The trigonometric parallaxes for 3035 stars in the General Catalogue of Trigonometric Stellar Parallaxes (Jenkins, 1952) and its 1963 Supplement are compared with the corresponding spectroscopic parallaxes in order to determine the systematic and external errors of the former. Significant dependences of both were found upon observatory and, depending on observatory, upon right ascension, declination, zenith distance, galactic latitude, trigonometric and spectroscopic parallax, internal trigonometric parallax error, absolute and apparent magnitude, and color. Many of these correlations are found to be primarily statistical, rather than instrumental, in origin, including the magnitude error in the Allegheny parallaxes. No evidence is found for variations with sector opening, but some evidence is found for a change of systematic error with time.
