We discuss some aspects of the differential geometry of timelike curves in Minkowski spacetime and look at Rindler particles as a particular case of a more general class of accelerated motion. We then point out that Rindler observers can in their proper frame detect redshift and time delay effects, which provides a clear and simple illustration of the principle of equivalence.
