Under the assumption that in the restricted three-body problem the body 3 has small inclination and small eccentricity, the change of its orbital elements after an encounter with the body 2 which moves in an elliptical orbit is discussed. The possible chaotic region is estimated and determined that the eccentricity ep of the body 2 will enlarge the region.
