During the 1950s, Darrell C. Romick, a Goodyear Aircraft engineer and an influential and nascent member of the ARS' spaceflight committee, presented several extraordinarliy visionary papers at both International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and American Rocket Society (ARS) Congresses and Conventions. There, Romick communicated his insightful ideas of ion propulsion, re-usable launch vehicles, permanently manned Earth orbiting colonies, etc. Through extensive interviews and original period documents, we will look at the contributions that Romick has made to the history of astronautics.
