Several highly red objects (H-K>=0.9) are detected in the ~2^{'}x2^{'} field of OB association A24 near the 7 kpc spiral arm of M31. They show infrared excesses on the J-H versus H-K diagram, which is typical for stars with thick dust shells. We suspect them to be candidates either for compact young clusters containing massive young stellar objects or for superwind-phase asymptotic giant branch stars in M31.
