Since the first report by Davis et al., the solar neutrino problem, the persistent discrepancy between theoretical predictions of the Sun's neutrino output and the observed fluxes, exists now for more than two decades. In the last few years, a number of experimental and theoretical developments have been made. Now it seems likely, that there is a promising solution for this problem.
