This proposal maps to SMOV4 activity OTA/FGS-5. It takes the data to fulfill requirement L.10.4.7.3.3, "FGS-FGS Alignment". The position and orientation of the FGS2R Field of View will be determined wth respect to FGS3 by data from this program. FGS1 was aligned to FGS3 in January 2008, and its position, which is not expected to have changed appreciably, will be verified with non-dedicated data elsewhere. Accuracy goals are 0.1 arcseconds {location in V2,V3} and 0.01 degrees {orientation}. An astrometric open cluster {M35} is observed using guidestars with positions determined to 20 mas. We have received a BEA "waiver" to make these observations, due to the stringent nature of our target requirements, however, these observations are likely to execute at or near the end of the BEA period anyway. NOTES: 1.} This proposal is dependent on 11458, which sets the FGS2R2 AMA. Information resulting from 11458 is needed for this program. 2.} These observations are specific to FGS2R2. If another FGS is to be replaced, an appropriate phase II can be produced. If no FGS is replaced, an FGS alignment need not execute. 3.} Specific astrometric guidestar pair candidates must be okayed by the PI in order for this test to obtain usable data. Specific pairs are given here, though as the anticipated execution date firms up, the actual available guidestar pair candidates should be reviewed at that time. 4.} The M35 field enters avidance zone in late December.;
