The enhancement of the rate coefficient for the radiative association of
Li and H to form LiH arising from stimulated emission by the cosmic
background radiation field is calculated. It is shown that the effect on
the fractional abundance of LiH in the early universe for redshifts z
between 1000 and 10 is small.
