Using two mass models of the Galaxy (with and without a massive corona), the orbits of neutron stars in the gravitational potential of the Galaxy have been calculated numerically. The wide range of possible values describing the neutron star kinematics has been covered with a set of discrete initial values weighted by observables statistical data from supernova remnants and pulsars. The spatial distribution of 10 to the 9th years old, turned-off pulsars has been determined. This distribution has been adopted as a candidate gamma-ray burst source distribution according to a model of Shklovsky and Mitrofanov (1985).
