The combination of the ultraviolet, visible and infrared fluxes shows that magnetic chemically peculiar stars present a bluer but brighter Balmer jump and similar ultraviolet fluxes when compared to normal stars with the same near infrared fluxes. Near infrared photometry confirms this behavior of the Balmer jump. These results could be interpreted in terms of ultraviolet flux redistribution decreasing with wavelength and principally located in the Balmer jump region, according to the light variation amplitudes which generally present their maximum in the Balmer jump region and their minimum in the infrared.
