Coming between the Earth and the Local Bubble is the warm, low density cloud that surrounds our Solar System. That cloud, one of the complex of local interstellar clouds, may provide us with important clues as to the nature of the Local Bubble that are difficult to get directly. An example is the pressure of the cloud, which is well below that found for the Local Bubble from models for soft X-ray background. The ionization of the cloud can give us information on the local ionizing radiation field, which, because of the lack of nearby O stars, may be dominated by diffuse emission. We discuss what is known, speculated about and unknown about the Local Interstellar Cloud (LIC) and other nearby clouds and what that can tells us about the Local Bubble.
