The late-time supernova atmosphere problem is discussed in the context of standard methods and techniques used for the study of emission nebulae. Physical processes and related numerical problems peculiar to supernovae at late-times are emphasized. A brief overview of numerical methods for determining the physical state and the emergent spectrum from models of supernovae is given.
