The wavelength dependence of interstellar polarization in the Large Magellanic Cloud has been studied. It was found that the data were fitted well by the empirical Serkowski relation used for Galactic stars. The range in λmax, the wavelength of maximum polarization, is also like that found in the Galaxy. The grains in both galaxies have similar optical polarization properties.
