An analysis of the light-curves of the variable star CO Aur is presented to show that the object is a short-period Cepheid. The shapes of the V and (B-V) curves both display a rapid increase followed by a slow decline, typical of short-period Cepheids. They are also equal in phase. The observed double-mode pulsation occurs in the first and second overtone, which is unique among the 11 double-mode pulsation Cepheids thus far observed. A good agreement between evolutionary and beat mass has been observed.
