The distribution of spatial orientations for various samples of galaxies is investigated; the galaxies range in size from 425 to 1154 and are representative of the Local Supercluster. The methods here rely on position angles, inclinations, and sky positions to calculate the directions of the two possible poles for each galaxy. These methods are more sensitive to alignments than those in previous studies. Whereas no striking tendencies toward alignment are found, various possible effects having formal statistical significances of 2-4 sigma are discussed. The most suggestive is for a sample of 702 spirals with a Zwicky magnitude less than or equal to 14.0 and an absolute value of the super galactic latitude greater than 10 deg. This sample is found to show an effect of preferential alignment (approximately 30 percent) of its poles toward a region approximately 50 deg in size located between the south supergalactic pole and the Virgo cluster, and preferential avoidance of an approximately 100 deg x 50 deg region that is 90 deg away on the sky and includes the supergalactic equator.
