High spatial and spectral resolution Hα-line profiles have been obtained along a line extending from the core of the giant H II complex NGC 36(43 into the eastern halo. The trends of individual velocity indicate that the gas motions are not caused exclusively by the action of the stellar wind from the central duster. Fossilized supernovae remnants or gravitationally interacting H I/H II/HMol clouds must also be present.
The velocity structure of the core region has been mapped in [O III]5007 Å with multiple parallel longslits and a basic schematic model of the structural and kinematic properties of the core is presented.
Finally, a second negative velocity spike has been located in NGC 3603, reaching to 75 km s-1 with respect to the parent cloud. A number of restraints have been placed on its origin, based on the observed properties of the phenomenon. The energy source of the observed motion is not apparent.
