Saturn Satellites: Astrometry, Saturn Satellites: Ccd Observations

Scientific paper

The major satellites of Saturn were observed with the CCD detector equipted on the 1.56 m astrometrical telescope at the Sheshan station and on the 1 m telescope at Yunnan station. The preliminary analysis of these observations shows that the accuracy of inter-satellite positions of Rhea, Dione, related to Titan, is 0.12″ equivalent to a distance of about 700 km from Saturn. Therefore these observations are valuable to the investigation of the orbits of the Saturn's satellites.
