Using the Very Large Array (VLA) we have obtained upper limits for radio emission of the magnetic cataclysmic variable (MCV) BY Cam which are about an order of magnitude better than any previously reported for similar systems. We find upper limits to the flux density of 0.059mJy at 1.4GHz, 0.023mJy at 4.9GHz, and 0.137mJy at 8.3GHz. We discuss the implication of these results for radio emission mechanisms in magnetic cataclysmic variables and conclude that slight asynchronism is not a major factor in contributing to radio emission in magnetic cataclysmic variables.
