The Tully-Fisher relation (TFR) in different environments was investigated in 13 galaxy samples spanning a large range in galaxy densities, using two statistical tests to compare the TFR of different samples. Results of the analysis of TFR parameters in several environments showed that, when samples of similar data-accuracy and magnitude-range were compared, there was no significant difference between the galaxy samples. It is suggested that a comparison of samples with very different data accuracy or those biased by incompleteness effects may lead to misleading results.
