Following the recent report of renewed activity in the X-ray transient XTE J1739-285 (ATEL #592, IAUC 7300), we have obtained a Swift TOO observation of the field covering this transient on 2005 Sept 03 05:54:51-06:12:41 UT. The X-ray Telescope (XRT) observation was obtained in Photon Counting mode recording a mean event-rate of 6.4 counts/sec. A single X-ray source was detected in the field of view of the XRT at the following position: RA(J2000): 17:39:54.2, Dec(J2000): -28:29:44 with an estimated uncertainty of 6 arcseconds.
