The influence of the magnetic and cross helicity of the Alfvenic turbulence in a simple slab model on the cosmic ray transport parameters is discussed. The particle's mean free path against scattering lambda(t) from quasi-linear theory is calculated for different values of the spectral index of the power spectrum of magnetic irregularities. It is shown that the lambda(fit)-lambda(theory) discrepancy for solar particle events can be solved.
