The paper deals with a quantitative photometric study of the emission line spectrum of the T Tau star AS 353A. The reddening correction of the spectrum is outlined, and the reddening-corrected emission-line fluxes are presented. The line fluxes are compared with those obtained with the same echellette spectrometer for T Tau, and it is found that the density in the emission-line forming regions is higher in AS 353 than in T Tau. A lower limit for the column density of hydrogen atoms in n = 3 in AS 353 is determined to be 43 times higher than the upper limit for this column density in T Tau. Two possible values for the reddening of AS 353A are discussed.
