The spiral galaxies of the Centaurus cluster are concentrated about a centre separated from that of the elliptical and S0 galaxies. This indicates a fundamental dynamical difference between the spiral and elliptical components of that cluster. It therefore suggests that the well-known redshift difference between spirals and ellipticals in the Virgo cluster is a similar dynamical difference, rather than intrinsic redshift in the spirals.
