It is shown that because of the large dispersion in the velocities of stars of the spherical (nonrotating) subsystem, the role of this subsystem in the dynamics of spiral density waves in the Galaxy turns out to be insignificant. By reexamining the study of Marochnik et al. (1972), in which the spherical subsystem was approximated by a thin disk and which the smallness of the role of the spherical subsystem in the dynamics of spiral waves was shown, it is demonstrated that taking into account the finite thickness of the spherical subsystem leads to an additional diminution of its role. Thus, the spiral structure of the Galaxy is determined solely by the parameters of the flat (rotating) subsystem.
