A Stars, Abundance, Gaseous Diffusion, Ionic Diffusion, Rare Gases, Cerium, Magnetic Stars, Stellar Spectra, Xenon, Yttrium

A simple diffusion hypothesis is tested in which the noble-gas structure
of diffusing ions is the dominant factor. The hypothesis fails to
predict large overabundances of yttrium and cerium, but shows promise in
predicting the lighter lanthanides in many Ap stars.
