Scientific paper

The paper analyzes anisotropic scattering of light in an atmosphere consisting of two uniform plane-parallel layers with different scattering indicatrices as well as different optical thicknesses and particle albedos. It is assumed that the atmosphere is illuminated by a flux of parallel rays incident from outside. The intensities of the radiation emerging from the atmosphere and of that at the interface between the layers are expressed in terms of auxiliary functions of a single angular variable.
