A total of approximately 20 Seyfert galaxies have been now identified as X-ray sources. Experiment C on Ariel V has observed a total of six of these (NGC 4151, 3C 390.3, NGC 5548, Mkn 279, Mkn 506, and Mkn 509). In the present paper, the spectral data obtained from Experiment C for these galaxies are discussed and summarized. The data are compared with observations of NGC 5128 (a radio galaxy), obtained during three periods, spanning four years.
