Recent high resolution observations of NGC 891 made with the Westerbork array at 6, 21 and 49 cm provide information on the propagation of relativistic electrons and the distribution of magnetic fields away from the disk. Simple models of diffusive and convective transport of electrons are constructed to account for the spatial distribution of intensity and spectral index. The magnetic field must fall off rather slowly with height above the plane, with most of the intensity decrease resulting from electron propagation and energy losses.
